Description
The church of San Martino appears for the first time in 1456, even though, there was already a chapel before that. It is said that the antique parochial church, perhaps fallen into ruins due to a landslide, was about a half a kilometer away from the present one. In 1674 it was described as one of he most beautiful churches in the mountains. The visit of Vicar Picenardi in 1707 describes it as facing east with a nave and three altars. In 1822 the church was reconstructed with one nave and two aisles and five altars. It has a sloping tympanumed façade with squared portal and has a frontispiece as a crowning point.
