Frale - 42010 Toano
How to get there:
It's about 4 km from the administrative capital
From the administrative capital you take the SP 8 in the direction of Villa Minozzo, after about 2.5 km you go left on the SC for Frale.
A recent operation has destroyed the praiseworthy noble house palace dominating the entrance to the hamlet; The stylistic characters and the architectural features made it attributable to the 17th century and because of its volumetric and structural division it was considered a rare example in the Reggiano mountains.
Of the three arts of the construction making up the complex, the two most western ones (following the altimetric variation of the slope), are in part unaltered.
Marazzi house presents in the sobriety of its rustic being a few features of great importance, such as the angular recurrences carved with geometrical motives, figures and anthropomorph masks, antique symbols perhaps recalling pagan history. There remains an architraved portal with four monolithic elements finely pebbled in rays and on the southern face a window architrave bearing 3 crosses carved out and initialed: "MCCCCLXIII ADI' XII NOBER" (1473 - 12 November)
Narrow alleys and underpasses characterize the hamlet which notwithstanding restoration operations maintains for the most part unaltered its environmental value. A few dates and the classical motif of the six pointed rose characterize the portals and the windows.
