Vedriano - 42026 Canossa
How to get there:
It's about 14 km from the administrative capital.
From the administrative capital you take the SS 513 up to the location Cerezzola, from here on the left the SP 79 in the direction of Trinità and from here a town road up to Vedriano..
The hamlet, of clear medieval origin is characterized by a long series of buildings which wind along on the side of the carriage way which leads to the bottom of the valley;
the long stone walls which rise on the side of the road show signs of the continuous rebuilding which took place over the centuries: bunged portals of the late middle ages mix with renaissance windows while 19th century arches mark the entrance of as many ages old rural dwellings.
On the upper part of the hamlet, not far from the parochial church, there's a praiseworthy tower house of the late middle ages which faces a spacious courtyard which long ago was perhaps enclosed by a court wall.
The architectural environment is charming which distinguishes the upper entrance of the hamlet neat the "Trattoria dell'Anuila".
The local parochial church, dedicated to San Salvatore, is of antique origin.
