To get to Leguigno you take the SS 63 up to Casina; from here you take the town road in the direction of Migliara.
It's about 5.6 km from the administrative capital.

Itinerary in Detail
From the center of the hamlet called Montata to the foot of the Leguigno castle, a carriage road branches off from the main road and leaves the hamlet venturing into the hills of the castle. You enter a chestnut wood along a narrow route cut half way across on the northern side of the hill on which the church and the hamlet of Monte rise, precious side because it is the only one in the Leguigno territory where the chestnut trees could grow. Later on a large mule road, paved in some places, slowly climbs a knoll between rows of oaks and thick hedges of hawthorns, Cornelian cheery, blackthorn while on the right you cover the bushy ridge between Gombio and Villa Berza, which has the Maillo valley behind it. Behind you can see the peaks of Mt Ventasso, Alpe Succiso and the Parma ridge. You then reach the church of Leguigno from where you get to the summit of the Leguigno hill, occupied by its taller inhabited center called Il Monte. Continuing the walk there's a change in scenery and you will find yourself on the edge of a calanchive amphitheater among the most spectacular in the Reggiano mountains. The upper layers of the silt have been eroded by the hydrographic system of the Rio di Leguigno, showing the underlying clay complexes, in which the multi-colored clay stands out. Having reached the bottom of the valley the calanques end and you enter a pinewood. The pinewood, almost entirely of scotch pine started and grew from the nucleus of spontaneous pine relics. The climb among specimens of all ages is quite charming and fresh in the summer.
On the knoll, occupied by the rural center, Casa del Lupo the woods end, the cultivations begin. On the road you reach the ridge road which leads to Beleo, positioned on the peak of a knoll. On the underlying knoll in a charming position, there's the Romanesque oratory. You pass the town of Molinello, near the Mill of Beleo, and the vast construction of Costa Medolana, from whose courtyard a small road climbs up to Boastra and all the way to the ancient road of Lunigiana. You then reach Cà Pietro, in the municipality of Carpineti, a hamlet where a noble court complex is located, it has an open gallery and 17th century portals and an oratory of the same century. A little further down there's the Morelli house, it too is dominated by a 17th century dovecot tower. Having reached Migliara you follow a nice carriage road which climbs between oaks and hedges and which leads to an open scenic ridge. The carriage road crosses the peak plateau between fields and edges of woods until it descends the NE ridge towards the visible center of Casina. Going down in to a chestnut woods at the bottom of a steep valley you reach the bottom of the Tassobio torrent and you flank the torrent till you come to Mulino della Grotta, a narrow gorge where the Tassobio dug itself an opening between stratified walls of calcareous loam rock. The mill there is now in ruins.
Beyond the torrent the main mule road climbs towards Casina.
