Analytical text:
The "Ecclesia de Puglano in Castro" appears in a document of 1191. It appears to have been consecrated by Bishop Alberio around 1150.
The church, dedicated to Saints Cipriano and Daria, is mentioned in the register of tithes of 1302 and 1318 as daughter-house of the Minozzo parish.
Between 1462 and 1645 the church was united with the one of Carniana.
The parish up to the Council of Trent remained without a baptismal font.
In 1707 the parochial church was made up of a unique nave with two altars.
In 1724 it was in bad shape; "unpolished, sordid and ruined, better yet, threatened with suspension if it were not restored in to a decent usable condition..."
In 1751 a flood threatened to ruin the church.
Thus, construction of a new oratory began thanks to the initiative of two priests, the Filippo brothers, who ceded it as a parish.
The parochial building underwent restoration, which altered the original architectural characteristics.
It has it has a simple hut-shaped façade with architraved portal.
The construction is flanked by a soaring bell tower with single light cell.
