Description:
Busana is a natural balcony on the Secchia Valley and on the opposite Ozola Valley, that goes down from the Cusna wild northwest slope. It appears in the goods of the father of Matilda of Canossa. The town is all immersed in the green and it is enclose by centuries-old chestnut tree. Higher, around the Ventasso mountain slopes, starts the beech trees that finish with the high ground pasture.
Historic signs. There are references of the town of busana already in the Roman Age. Years later the father of Maltilda of Canossa built a castle in strategic position, to defence the area. In 1845 Busana was established municipality and so reconfirmed in 1860, in the United Italy. In the ancient castle now rise the Parish Church. ( A. Manari Fiorini, 1990)
