Description
In the Town of Ligonchio there are three working hydroelectric plants that produce energy using water from the torrents Rossendola and Ozola. They are channeled through canals, galleries and pipes, even the water of their tributaries. In the territory there are two water collection basins, one at Presa Alta (m 1229), and one at Ligonchio (m 1000). A storage pool is found in the location Tarlanda, at m 1207. From the pools flows water through compressing tubes that take the water to the plants and start the turbines. Every year around 56,500 Mwh of energy is produced.
