the iconography is that of a rectangular memorial stone with a made of and an epigraph in relief on the two sides. The monument shows a metal crucifix and it is set over a fountain. Built by the of the 20° comittees of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna and by Villa Minozzo Commune Administration, its unveiling dates back to 1965.

On the left side: "RED STAR BRIGADE AND SOVIET PARTISANS HERE FALLEN IN BATTLE ON 2 JUNE 1944/XX RESISTANCE COMITTEES/ REGGIO EMILIA/MODENA/BOLOGNA/AND VILLA MINOZZO COMMUNE/IN THE TWENTIETH SACRIFICE/." On the right side: "THEY DIED AS WE COULD BE FREE". "N. Brugnoli, A. Canovi - The Sorrowful Stone".
