Description:
leaning against the edge of the road, the monument is formed by sandstone blocks and at the top it shows a white marble tombstone with an inscription in relief. The project was done by Camillo Bertolini. Ordered by the Commune and by the mayor of that period, Aldo Coriani, the unveiling dates back to 1954.

"HERE THE FIRST GROUPS OF REGGIO EMILIA AND MODENA PATRIOTS ON 15/03/1944 AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ENDURANCE STRUGGLE WON AND DESTROYED A VERY STRONG COMPANY OF NAZI-FASCISTS IN A CRUEL BATTLE NEVERENDING GLORY TO THE FALLEN PARTISAN HEROES/". "N. Brugnoli, A. Canovi - The Sorrowful Stones".
