A little under the peak of the mount there's summer pasture and a small oratory dedicated to S. M. Maddalena.

Description:
The pyramid-shaped massive structure of Mt Ventasso is the culminating part of the long elevated dividing ridge between the Enza and Secchia basins. The isolated position and the remarkable altitude make this mountain a privileged scenic point wit a glimpse you can see the peaks of the ridge and the Reggiano valleys. It is of remarkable geological interest due to its rocky stratifications and its turbilithic outcrops, where the different erosion factors between sandstone and marls are quite obvious. A characteristic feature of Mt Ventasso is its complete exposition to sun rays and meteorological events which determine the extraordinary environmental variation of its slopes which correspond to a just as variable number of flora and fauna species.
