Description:

The Canossa Observatory was founded in 2016 with the aim of spreading the knowledge of the universe that surrounds us to the public.
Located at an altitude of 550m in the middle of the green hills and on the border of the Tosco-Emiliano National Park, the Observatory boasts a wonderful view in an oasis of tranquility. This structure is not only a place of culture, but also a pleasant environment in which to spend a few moments of detachment from the hectic life or to seek refreshment in the sultry summer nights.

THE TELESCOPE
The Canossa Observatory puts the largest telescope in the province of Reggio Emilia, which is also the largest binoscope in Italy, at guests' disposal: a binoscope with two 456mm mirrors, built by Arie Otte in the Netherlands in 2016.
This binoscope not only gives you the advantage of being able to observe with two eyes, but it will also give you an unparalleled experience of total immersion, as if you were floating in space.

Prices:

Prices are per person, with a minimum of €30 for the entire evening. They include the assistance of our guide with unlimited telescope time, including coffee, tea or soft drink.

We prefer not to accept groups of more than 8 people to ensure everyone the opportunity to take their time at the telescope and to reduce expectations to a minimum.

Adults: €10
Children up to 12 years: €5
