Description:
The valley is characterized by the presence of "boulder" type sandstone, which determines a morphology with steep walls, whose height rises towards the valley until its forms a deep ravine called "Schiocchi", just before the bridge on the Ozola of Ligonchio. The walls here reach 400 m in altitude. These profound and narrow incisions are the result of the current molding of the torrential water, which derives from the evolution of the former fluvial – glacial draining, which in turn was conditioned by the withdrawal and disappearance of the glaciers.
