Itinerary in detail Time needed: About 4 hrs 30'
Difference in altitude climbing: 400 m
Difference in altitude descending: 600 m From the Lama Lite Pass you take a route heading South-East, towards the Bocca di Massa pass. It winds across the northern hillside of Mt Prado in a moor of Blueberries mixed with colonies of brachypodium. Among the small rocks the saxifrage and the houseleek are common. Scenery on the upper Dolo torrent valley and the Apuane Alps. From the Bocca di Massa (1806m) you can see the valley of the Serchio river and Pania di Corfino (Orecchiella Park). Heading east you follow the route on the ridge; later on the route itself leaves the ridge on a steep descent into beechwoods, a descent which leads to a carriage road a few meters from the oratory of the Forbici Pass (1574m). From the Pass you follow a carriage road, on the side of Mt Giovanello. At the Giovanello Pass the carriage road continues towards the fields of S. Gemininano. You leave it to stay on the ridge. Soon you reach the peak of Mt Nuda (1705m) and then descend into another beechwood until you encounter wide carriage roads which lead to the mouth of the Radici (1529 m).
