Description
It was situated near the famous seven mouths of water, or vein, around which a few decades ago, there was rich vegetation of maidenhair fern, a fern which at the time was used as medicine for various animals.
The mill had four grinders divided into 3 rooms.
In this building there was a dyeworks which had also been operating here for ages and a mangle, a large organ used to thicken and shine the pieces of fabric woven in the loom of the rural area.
In the adjacent room there was a dyeworks made of small kilns, called "fornaselle", which were used to bake the colors and to dye the fabric.
In the dyeworks of Vene even the soot of fireplaces was used to dye, for carpentry nut dye was used, it was obtained from green hull and from the skin and roots of nuts.
