Description:
It is equipped with benches and wooden tables and a playground for children. From the park you can see the Ancient Ducal Place built by Francesco IV d'Este between 1820 and 1830, now used as seat of the high school. Within the park you can see a monument dedicated to the "Partisan women" made by the sculptor, and painter from Castelnovo Giorgio Benevelli in 1974. The work is made of 9 copper panels, each one depicting scenes and situations of Partisan women in action. Many delegations and groups (foreign one too) and various schools have come and still come to see this work, with the chance of having the artist himself as "Cicero".
