Vercallo is a rural nucleus laid out on a small terrace between Mt. Pulce and the deep valley of Rio Cerezzola.
It doesn't have elements prior to the 16th century, but its compact center gives it a characteristic aspect of timeless rural hamlet. You can easily notice the exiguity of cultivated lands, suspended on the wooded and deep valley at the bottom of which there once was a mill called "of the Devil", and the distance of the other hamlets of Cortogno from which it depended.
Noticeable is a tower house and a few ashlars on the walls, perhaps remnants apotropaiche sculptures, and a few pebbled portals.
