Description:
The monument is constituted by a bronze bas-relief where a partisan reversed on the ground with the palm of his hand up, is portrayed. On the base of the cement structure and in its side two gravestones on which the epigraph devoted to the twenty-four martyrs of the "Fratelli Cervi" detachment appears, are fixed. The monument was a commission of the municipal administration of Vetto, of the partisan associations and of the ex-fighting and local arm association. The monument was planned and sculpted by the sculptor Giorgio Benevelli, while the author of the epigraph was Guerino Franzini. The unveiling is dated back to the 12 September 1982. Inscription: IN MEMORY OF THE 24 PARTISANS OF THE "FRATELLI CERVI" DETACHMENT HERE CAPTURED AND COLDLY PUT TO DEATH BY NAZI-FASCIST TROUPS WHICH ON THE 17/11/1944 WITH THE CRUEL CARNAGE TRAMPLED ON HUMAN FEELINGS AND MILITARY HONOUR. VETTO COMMUNE AND THE PARTISAN ASSOCIATIONS OF SACRIFICE IN THE 38 HONOUR THOSE MARTYRS." " N.Brugnoli, A.Canovi - Le Pietre Dolenti ".
