Details of tour:

Itinerary in detail: The easy itinerary, of great historical and scenic interest, is 30 km long and can be done in little more than three hours. It doesn't have any particularly difficult features as it mainly follows the gravel roads, mule roads, and small paved roads, with a gradient of only 670 m. The itinerary crosses the area of Messinian gypsums, going the near the openings of a few caves and leads to both Ca' del Vento and the castle of Viano, which is now private property. This fort had in the past, especially during the Matildic times of the Canossa period, great strategic relevance considering its dominating position.
