Description
In 141 construction of the sanctuary was underway and in 1422 there is evidence regarding the dedication of the church to the Sacred Savior. In 1617 the title of Sacred Virgin was added to the original dedication, came into common usage starting in 1635. Construction of the convent dates back to 1620 – 23.there still is an epigraph bearing the inscription "MCCCCXXII – DIE XVI IUNII". The amount of 14th century frescos kept in the church is noteworthy and among these there's a praiseworthy image of the Madonna with Child that stands out, it is the work of Emilian masters of that period.
