The route starts at Cerreto Alpi, that can be reached getting off the SS 63, 6 km above the administrative capital climbing the high valley of the Secchia along a road that allows you to admire the so-called sandstone "cracks" profoundly cut by the elements which drop precipitously on the river.

Itinerary in detail
The itinerary starts from Cerreto Alpi, from here you take a gravel road that climbs the slopes of Mt Maccagnino up to Lake Pranda, continuing you get to the SP 58 (1311 m - 1.5 km) from where towards the left you get to the tourist resort of Cerreto Laghi.
Turning right you get to the Cerreto pass (1246 m). Going back to Cerreto Alpi can be done taking the SS 63 in the direction Castelnovo ne' Monti.
