Description
The "loco et fundo Cervariaa juxta lacum" is cited in a document of 1106, while the church of San Matteo is named along with the one of Busana, in a series of documents of the 11th century. The buildings of the village, vastly restored, still present a few elements of stylistic interest.
Along the state road, at the junction for Ramiseto, there are ruins of a small fort constructed by the Duke Francesco IV after the Cerreto road was made (1828 – 1843).
The torrione, having a circular plan, is completely abandoned.
