Itinerary in detail
Starting from Felina, you can climb in your car up to 750 m through the Tegge, a noteworthy example of a rural house dating back in its oldest part to 1500, Sasso Canino, on the side of Mt Gazzo, and Palareto, a noteworthy scenic and historical site of probable Byzantine origin, as several findings have deduced.
Leaving the Car in Palareto or, at the most, in Ca' di Barucca, the climb of Fosola on foot is advised, across old carriage roads and chestnut woods, made cheerful by the good water of the Fontanino. Almost at the peak (998 m), a small house and wide pastures make up the decidedly alpine scenery. Superb panorama in the four directions. From here you can start an interesting excursion on foot (2.30 hrs) up to the Castle of Carpineti, along a path that constantly follows the ridge. Felina (664 m) - Tegge (650 m) km

Time needed: about minutes by car at a speed of 50 km/H on a paved road, then at a certain point you leave the road and take a gravel road up to the castle.
