Description
At Legoreccio there's the "Corte dei Da Palude" which represents one of the most significant 17th century noble buildings of the Reggiano mountains.
The construction consist in a vast closed court divided inside by a colonnade under-imposed to an open gallery with rounded arches supported by brick mullions. a wide stairway with vaulting stairway leads to the living floors, where one can admire a praiseworthy stone sculpted hearth.
Noteworthy is the hidden well, with original machinery.
Along side the court there's the oratory dedicated to the Blessed virgin which retains a praiseworthy lock of the 17th century.
This oratory dates back to the 17th century and was probably constructed a little after the annexed court was. On the eastern side of the complex you can still see a tower house characterized by a "opus quadratum" surface, heavily altered by the atmospheric elements, a loophole on the ground floor and a small bunged window on the façade surmounted by an architrave bearing a stylized rose.
Massive angular ashlars highlight the tower's structure which currently appears lowered. This building is attributable to the end of the 14th - middle of the 15th century.
