From Ligonchio you turn left after the oratory of S. Rocco. The itinerary, of medium difficulty, is entirely on the gravel road that leads to Presa Alta, Battisti refuge, and then descends to Civago.

Itinerary in Detail:
The first part offers a splendid panoramic view of Ligonchio and the Ozola valley, where you can see in the distance a few of the rare indigenous stations of silver fir. After the artificial dam of Presa Alta, you will come across majestic beech woods, up to, further on, the high altitude grasslands. After having passed the Bargetana refuge, you arrive at the lake of the same name, and not too far after that, in the location Lama Lite, the junction which takes you on one side Battisti refuge and on the other to the Abetina Reale. Noteworthy is the panorama of some of the major peaks of the Reggiano Apennines.

Presa Alta (1240 m) - Lama Lite Pass (1740 m): distance: 6 km; difference in altitude 540 m.
