The easy itinerary, entirely on a gravel road, begins after the town of Montecagno. Water can be found on the route near the Cisa Pass.

Itinerary in Detail
In the first part the itinerary follows the abandoned cultivated fields and offers a nice panoramic view of the land belonging to the Town f Ligonchio, of Mount Cavalbianco and the "Pietra di Bismantova". The itinerary overlaps for a brief stretch the spallanzani path. After reaching the Cisa pass and the relative Mount it crosses the beechwoods, from where you then proceed to Val d'Asta.
Montecagno (950 m) - Cisa Pass (1555 m); distance: 8 km; difference in altitude (605 m).
Cisa Pass (1555 m) - Monte Orsaro (1240 m); distance 4 km; difference in altitude (315 m).
