The hamlet of Montedello occupies the inferior margin of a narrow line of a ridge in a dominant position when compared to the rest of the valley of the Enza torrent.

Description
The hamlet shows an urban plan of Linear type with accentuated defensive character.
It is likely that in Medieval times there was a fort but of this antique fortified complex there is only a tower left which surmounts a mule track which crosses the hamlet.
At Montedello there are a few of the nicest stone portals of the mountain.
A little past the oratory you can in fact see a wide passage defined by a sandstone rounded arch adorned by flat ashlar work finely pebbled with a transept and surmounted by a chiave bearing an inscribed Celtic rose and the year "1642".
Other portals probably of the same period can be seen near the "Castle".
On the façade of a reconstructed building you can see a marble fragment depicting the Virgin who surmounts the terrestrial globe;
The work of praiseworthy craftsmanship and of high artistic quality, was probably recovered fro a more antique sculpted relief.
A few majesties rise at the edge of the hamlet and within the hamlet itself.
