from the administrative capital you take the SP 15 up to the town of Succiso, then go straight on for about 1 km and turn left for the Town road and then continue on that road until you get tot he town of Succiso Nuovo.

The route begins near the church of Succiso Nuovo, not far above the Visitors Center of the Parco del Gigante.
The route follows carriage roads and easily done paths (excursionistic); difference in altitude about 415 m (1400 - 985 m); length 4 km (one way); time needed (without stops) 90 min.

The Nature Route "Valley of the Enza" is mentioned on the Excursion Chart of the Region Emilia - Romagna with the code SR 2. The route completely overlaps the CAI path 653 variant Succiso - Ghiaccioni.
In the high valley of the Liocca torrent there are other paths:
the n 653 goes from Succiso Nuovo to the lake of Mt Acuto;
the n 655 goes from Succiso Nuovo to the refuge of Rio Pascolo;
the n 657 goes from Miscoso to the Sella of Mt Acuto;
the n 659 goes from the Ghiaccioni to the Dam of the Lagastrello; the n 669 goes from the refuge of Rio Pascolo to the springs of Capiola;
the n 673 goes from the refuge of Rio Pascolo to the Pietratagliata Pass.
