The route starts in Civago. This location, fraction of the town of Villa Minozzo, can be reached on the SP 9, a road which you take at Felina taking the Ss in the direction of Reggio Emilia - Cerreto Pass. You get to Civago also from the Modena area, coming from Frassinoro or from Radici Pass.

Itinerary in detail
As concerns the Collagna area stretch, you cross the woods of the Riarbero valley, ancient pertinence at the level of Nasseta (medieval hamlet destroyed and divided between the surrounding villages), you descend to the ironworks, site of a foundry contested by the Estensi in the XVI century and again to a magnificent chestnut woods of Cerreto Alpi and to the cracks of the Secchia river along a stretch of the ancient road to Lunigiana, now SS 63. After the hamlet and the mill of Cerreto Alpi, you cross the Calcareous areas of the Rio Biola, the pastoral hamlet of Valbona, the Scalucchia Pass, to then descend to the Enza Valley.
